NETAPP storage

Shared folders of each research group are located to the NETAPP storage and they are configured with backup. Through the Finder, go to menu ‘Go’ and click “Connect to Server” (or press ⌘K).

Write the server address:

smb://disk.dtic.upf.edu/research_group

If we click on "+" the connection will be saved.

If no specific resource is specified the server will show you all the resources it’s instructed to show. Home directories will always be hidden, but shared folders are shown by default.

You can use the URL smb://disk.dtic.upf.edu to see all shared folders.

IBM storage

HPC'S folders and datasets are located to the LENOVO storage and they are not configured with backup. Through the Finder, go to menu ‘Go’ and click “Connect to Server” (or press ⌘K).

Write the server address:

smb://smb1.s.upf.edu/Projects/research_group

smb://smb1.s.upf.edu//Home

If we click on "+" the connection will be saved.

If no specific resource is specified the server will show you all the resources it’s instructed to show. Home directories will always be hidden, but shared folders are shown by default.

You can use the URL smb://smb1.s.upf.edu/ to see all shared folders.

Authentication

Next we will have to type the credentials. We’ll need our username/password of the shared files server. Also we can choose to store the password in our computer so we don’t have to type it every time. Remember to correctly set up CCP\.

Our personal area will be mapped to our file system.
