Operating with the server

Once connected, we can drag files into or out of the folders we have access to. The server always shows us the first level of folders: this is where we find the folders concerning the research groups and the folders in our local computer.

On the left panel we find the local site folder and on the right panel we find the remote site folder. By dragging and dropping the files we need from one location to another we will move the contents. The transfer speed will be displayed on the bottom panel.

Inside the remote area, we see two folders called LENOVO and NETAPP:

  • In LENOVO we have the datasets of research groups and HPC's homes (it is equivalent to \\samba.ccp.upf.edu). The data does not have a backup.
  • In NETAPP we have the shared research group folders (it is equivalent to \\disk.dtic.upf.edu). It has a backup.
